Saudi Arabia’s capital city kicked off its festival season with style and glamour as the global K-pop sensation BTS performed in front of an avid crowd at the King Fahd International Stadium on Friday.
The septet’s concert was part of their record-breaking BTS World Tour “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself”,which gained over $50 million in the month of May alone and was the top-grossing tour for that month globally.
Earlier in July this year, the Kingdom witnessed the first ever K-pop concert in its history with superstar group Super Junior performing at the Jeddah Season festival. In line with the objectives of Vision 2030, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has been organizing, developing and leading the country’s entertainment sector in a way that it has never seen before.
As part of Riyadh season, more than 100 exciting events and activities will be conducted including world-class football, K-pop, WWE and Saudi Arabia’s largest-ever parade. The Riyadh Front venue will present the season’s largest exhibition area, featuring variety of events including Space Discovery, ComicCon, a Cirue du Soleil show, and a performance of Michael Jackson concert “Thriller Live.”
